The Wordsmiths

Meet our team of creative and inspiring writers

Catherine

Catherine is the Wordsmiths’ resident CatholicGeek. She is one of the founding members of the group, invited by Little back in fall of 2019, and regularly goes on #lyricaltangents about any and everything related to her faith, Tolkien, Chesterton, and any of her fandoms.

Little

Elizabeth is the founder of Wordsmiths, an idea that came to her when she wanted to grow in her craft of writing alongside other Catholic authors. She loves writing fantasy but enjoys all sorts of genres— fantasy, sci-fi, historical non-fiction, biographies. She hates cliches but still says her favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Jane Austen.

Lauren

Lauren has been a Wordsmith since 2020, and sits on a growing pile of completed first drafts. If she dedicated the time it takes her to plan an outfit to her studies, she'd be labelled a nerd. At any given moment, it's safe to assume that she's plotting a (character) murder.

Kelly

Kelly joined the Wordsmiths in 2020 and is currently working on her seven-book saga. She loves musical theater, true crime, and fantasy books. When she’s not writing, you can find her taking care of her goldendoodle or cooking.

Paige_edited.jpg

Paige

Paige is the internet-loving chaos writer of the group. She has been working on her debut novel, University, since joining the WordSmiths during the pandemic, which continues to have a heavy influence on her story. She published her first piece of writing with Short Fiction Break and hopes to one day create a collection of unsettling short horror pieces.

Grace 2.jpg

Grace

Grace infiltrated the WordSmiths in 2022 and has been making them regret it ever since. She collects dead-languages and urban legends with fervor. Her favorite flavor of story is equal parts eldritch and transcendental. Catch her procrastinating on writing by hyper fixating on yet another niche realm of folklore.

Tyler.jpg

Tyler

Tyler joined the Wordsmiths in late 2021 with an endless supply of ideas and very little self-control to stick to just one. He’s currently working on two first drafts, and really, it’s anyone’s guess which he will finish first. A proud nerd, he’s always down to discuss anything superhero, film, TV, or fantasy related.

Rob

Robert joined the Wordsmiths in the summer of 2022 when long-time friend and Wordsmith, Paige, introduced him to the group. He believes that the stories we read and tell form us as people. It forms our minds, body, and soul. The pursuit of storytelling can help lead us to reach that ultimate goal, Heaven.
